The best part by far were the last ten or so pages, entirely different in tone, told by a plural female first person narrator, but read like a prose poem, plot impossible. While it is obvious that at nineteen one can be a great mathematician, poet, chess player, and the like, it seems impossible to write a great novel at that age.

It was unbearable so I gave up after barely 20 pages. Once again I have found myself disappointed in Polish cinema.
